Optica Installation

How do I install Optica on Windows 7?


Optica is initially downloaded as a zip file. Its extracted contents are placed in the following directory: Users/usr/AppData/Roaming/Mathematica/Autoload For Optica EM there are four folders that go into this directory: (1) OpticaEM (2) OpticaTools (3) OpticaGraphics (4) OpticaDocumentation For Optica SE there are three folders that go into this directory: (1) OpticaSE (2) OpticaTools (3) OpticaDocumentation Any extra folders or files not indicated above but present in the extracted zip file can be safely ignored and not transfered to the Autoload directory. Note: Optica will require a password to be entered the first time it is used.




How do I install Optica on a Macintosh?

If your system contains the Users/usr/AppData directory, then you can place all folders in the following: Users/usr/AppData/Roaming/Mathematica/Autoload Alternatively these folders can be placed in: C:ProgramData/Mathematica/Autoload Any extra folders or files not indicated above but present in the extracted zip file can be safely ignored and not transfered to the Autoload directory.
